This is a story from the Vana Parva of the Mahabharata. Looking at Draupadi’s dedication and working, Yudhishtira puts forth a question to the Rishis. He says, “How does life treat the woman who serves family and society in such a selfless manner? What does she really get? What is her position in society? Also, what does a young couple in the prime of youth, who dedicate their life to taking care of the elderly, get?” These questions are answered in the story of Dharmavyadha.
